Last updated: July 15, 2026 · Effective date: July 15, 2026
TREND Tube Chart (trend.trevo.co.kr, hereinafter the "Service") is an information service that collects and analyzes public data from YouTube to provide trend rankings and statistics for videos, Shorts, and channels. This Privacy Policy explains how the Service collects, uses, retains, and protects data. By using the Service, you are deemed to agree to the contents of this Policy.
1. Use of YouTube API Services and Related Terms
The Service uses YouTube API Services to collect and display public data from YouTube. Accordingly, the terms and policies below also apply to users of the Service, and users are deemed to agree to them.
The Service collects only publicly available data through YouTube API Services, and does not request access to users' YouTube accounts (OAuth authorization) or access any private or personal data.
2. Information We Collect
The Service collects and processes the following information.
- Public YouTube API data: Public information about videos, Shorts, and channels — titles, descriptions, thumbnails, view counts, like counts, comment counts, subscriber counts, categories, publication dates, video durations, channel names, and the like. All of this is public information provided through the YouTube Data API, and the Service does not collect private content or individuals' non-public information.
- Self-collected statistics (time-series snapshots): Point-in-time values of public metrics periodically observed by the Service itself, and the changes in those values (increases). This is data that the Service itself calculates and retains.
- Visitor access information: The Service has no membership registration and does not collect personally identifiable information such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, or payment information. However, for the stable operation, security, and error analysis of the Service, access logs (IP address, browser and device type, date and time of access, and request path) may be automatically processed on a temporary basis.
Collection methods: The Service collects data through YouTube API Services and through automated observation of publicly available information. In this process, the Service does not access private content, users' personal account data, or information that requires login, and targets only public information that anyone can view.
3. Purposes of Use of Information
Collected information is used only for the following purposes.
- Providing trend rankings, rising rankings, statistics, and analytical information for videos, Shorts, and channels
- Providing, maintaining, and improving the Service's features, and diagnosing errors
- Detecting fraudulent use and abnormal access, and maintaining the security of the Service
The Service does not use visitors' personal information for advertising or marketing purposes, and does not perform automated decision-making or profiling.
4. How Information Is Processed and Shared
The Service aggregates and processes the public YouTube data it collects and displays it publicly through the website in the form of statistics and rankings. Visitors' personal information (such as access logs) is processed only for internal operational purposes and is not disclosed externally or used for marketing.
5. Retention and Destruction of Information
- YouTube API data is managed in accordance with the YouTube API Services Developer Policies. Metadata such as video titles, channel names, descriptions, and thumbnails is refreshed and cleaned up based on a maximum period of 30 days, while public statistical figures such as view counts, like counts, and subscriber counts, as well as change metrics the Service calculates on its own based on those figures, may be retained for up to 36 months in accordance with YouTube's 'Additional Policy on Derived Metrics and Data Retention'.
- Content that has been deleted or made private on YouTube is also removed from the Service to reflect that change.
- Visitor access logs are retained only for the period necessary to achieve operational and security purposes, and are then destroyed without delay.
6. Provision to Third Parties and Outsourcing
The Service does not sell the data it collects to third parties or provide it to them without authorization. However, the following cases are exceptions.
- Where the user has given prior consent
- Where required by law, or where requested by the relevant authorities in accordance with lawful procedures such as investigations or trials
- Where data is processed within the scope of ordinary outsourcing of technical processing, such as the use of infrastructure (servers and hosting) for operating the Service
7. Cookies and Local Storage
The Service may store and read cookies or local storage on the user's device (browser) to provide Service features such as language settings and for the user's convenience. This is not intended to identify individuals, and users may refuse the storage of cookies or delete them through their browser settings (in which case some features may be limited).
8. Data Security
To manage the data it processes securely, the Service applies reasonable technical and administrative safeguards such as access control, encryption in transit (HTTPS), and administrator authentication. However, absolute security cannot be guaranteed for transmission and storage over the internet.
9. User Rights
Although the Service does not collect information that identifies individuals, if you have any inquiries regarding data, such as access, correction, deletion, or suspension of processing, you may submit a request using the contact information below, and the Service will handle it in good faith in accordance with applicable laws. The Service also accepts and handles requests relating to the display of your own YouTube content on the Service.
10. Children's Personal Information
The Service is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect children's personal information.
11. Overseas Transfers and International Users
The YouTube API Services and related infrastructure used by the Service may be operated overseas by Google LLC and others, and information may be transferred and processed overseas in the course of data processing. Such processing is subject to the Google Privacy Policy referenced above.
12. Changes to This Policy
This Policy may be revised in accordance with changes in laws, policies, or the content of the Service, and any changes will be posted on this page. The revised Policy takes effect from the time it is posted.
